A specific villa within the resort
The Executive Pool Villa is a named accommodation category at Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort & Villas, at 154 Moo 2 in northern Chaweng. Its appeal comes from combining a private villa setting with the shared facilities of the wider resort. It should be compared with the hotel’s other categories on its own terms: Executive, Duplex, Premier and Family Suite pool villas are separately listed choices.
The resort’s official location page places the property on the quieter northern fringe of Chaweng. That makes the relationship with the centre relevant to a stay: time around the villa can be combined with outings, but the address is not in the busiest concentration of shops and nightlife.
A lane, a garden and your own pool
The official Executive description identifies three villas, each measuring 120 square metres, set down a small lane apart from the main accommodation. Each has an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi within a small garden, with shade and access back into an air-conditioned interior. The private outdoor area is the defining feature of this category.
Indoors, the category combines bedroom and living space with a bathroom containing two separate sinks. Listed equipment includes a capsule coffee machine, refrigerator, 55-inch Smart TV, Marshall speaker, Wi-Fi and a safe. A tower fan, slippers, beach bag and beach towels are also described. These details support spending substantial time in the villa, rather than treating it simply as a bedroom between excursions.

The wider resort remains part of the stay
Outside the villa, the resort lists an infinity pool overlooking the sea and a fitness centre. The hospitality hall contains a library and waiting area with coffee. Laundry and dry cleaning, concierge assistance and parking subject to availability are additional published services.
This creates a choice between the privacy of the villa pool and a shared seafront setting. Massage services at MOZY are also advertised, while the resort presents non-motorised water sports among its activities. The presence of these facilities does not establish that every treatment, activity or service is included in a particular villa reservation.
Olivio offers an indoor or open-air meal
The hotel’s Olivio restaurant serves Italian and Thai dishes, including pizza, pasta, curries and stir-fries. Its official dining page distinguishes an air-conditioned dining room, an open-air section and a terrace. That range of seating provides an alternative when someone wants shelter or cooling rather than an outdoor table.
Private romantic dinners by the pool or beach are advertised separately by the resort. They are an optional dining arrangement, not a standard component of Executive Pool Villa accommodation. The restaurant’s own setting is useful even without a special occasion: it offers a place to leave the villa for a meal while remaining within the property.
The exact-category guest perspective
Tsunamy’s September 2026 review explicitly describes eight nights in an Executive Pool Villa. The guest found it spacious, private and comfortable, valued having a personal pool and praised helpful staff and the resort’s infinity pool. The important qualification concerned the shore: at high tide, water could reach the seawall, leaving little or no exposed sand.
A different exact-category account gives a less positive comparison. DanyB, reviewing a December 2024 stay in January 2025, reported a dirty bathtub and floors, fluctuating shower temperatures and unreliable follow-through on requests. Both accounts describe particular stays; neither establishes identical conditions for every villa.
Getting to the centre
The official location page publishes a shuttle from the hotel to Central Festival Samui at 11:00 and 14:00. It explicitly states that journeys are one way, with no pick-up service. A guest using that arrangement therefore needs a separate return plan; current departure times should match the schedule operating during the stay.
The villa is best assessed through those concrete distinctions: a private garden pool, access to shared resort facilities and a northern Chaweng address. The sea frontage is real, but the dated guest account makes clear why it should not be equated with an expanse of exposed sandy beach at every tide.
