A small Choeng Mon development offers kitchen and living space, with the communal pool and electricity terms worth distinguishing clearly.

Five houses, one communal pool

Baan Jasmin Village is at 74/70 Moo 5, Bophut, in Samui’s Choeng Mon area. Host Aart describes five houses, each with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The houses sit within tropical gardens and share a 20-metre swimming pool supplied by a natural underground well.

That pool arrangement matters: renting an entire house does not give the party an individual private pool. The host explicitly describes the facility as communal, despite a private-pool tag on a distributor listing.

Room to live as well as sleep

The host lists a kitchen, living and dining areas, terraces or balconies, parking and Wi-Fi. All bedrooms have air conditioning; this should not be extended into an assumption that downstairs living areas are also air-conditioned. The layout is useful for friends or family who want shared domestic space between outings.

The three-bedroom villa listed by Planet of Hotels is approximately 160 square metres and accommodates six. Its kitchen includes a stove, toaster and refrigerator, and the two bathrooms have walk-in showers. Check the equipment of the house you reserve, especially if preparing substantial meals is part of the plan.

The distributor’s fine print says electricity is excluded and charged according to use. Agree how consumption is recorded and settled before booking; the headline accommodation price alone may not represent the full stay cost.

Recent reports favour the space

Roman’s review dated 27 July 2026 appreciated a spacious villa, a quiet beach and nearby convenience shopping. The airport was close enough to be useful without noise disturbing that guest. Jerome’s 10 March 2023 account similarly liked a spacious, well-kept villa and welcoming owner.

These are individual experiences rather than a guarantee of silence. Their strongest common point is the value of having a full villa layout rather than a single hotel room.

Older family and group visits

Maxmcbain’s August 2014 report described a two-week family stay with a toddler, enjoying the pool and attached paddling area and finding the owner friendly. Hedi V’s two-week group visit in March 2013, reviewed in April, brought praise for the spacious house, pool garden, local restaurants and helpful Aart.

The family appeal therefore has a specific basis: shared swimming and a house with several bedrooms. Confirm the current pool layout and the exact house’s cooling and utility terms. Those practical distinctions define the stay more clearly than a broad private-villa label.
