A base for the Chatuchak area

Yoo Yen Pen Sook is listed at 1639/34, near Phahonyothin 15 and Saphan Khwai BTS, in the Chatuchak Dental Clinic alley. Match the entrance pin before arrival rather than search only along the main road. Booking lists air-conditioned accommodation with shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen, lounge and luggage storage.

Choose the shared-room arrangement

Hostelworld’s property description distinguishes female and mixed dormitories from a private option. Its historical configuration was a six-bed female dorm, eight-bed mixed dorm and one private room, with wider single beds and basic shared facilities. Confirm the current configuration and bathroom access for the selected category.

A private sleeping room does not automatically establish a private bathroom. Ask about that distinction before comparing it with a conventional hotel room, and confirm where larger bags can be kept.

Recent guests identify the tradeoffs

Jon Villani’s 30 May 2026 review praised cleanliness, a quiet setting and welcoming staff, but reported a malfunctioning dorm locker. Kevin, reviewing on 16 February 2026, liked the comfort, strong WiFi and nearby eateries, with the weekend market within walking reach.

Tim’s 10 September 2025 repeat-stay account appreciated the homely atmosphere and proximity to Chatuchak and antique shopping, while mentioning a cold shower and steep stairs to the third floor. La-ongdao’s 6 April 2025 account described the female dorm occupying a floor, clean towels and lockers, but a firm bed and fixed overhead shower.

Check the locker, room floor and shower arrangement if those details matter to the stay. These are individual dated reports, so neither a faulty locker nor a cold shower should be treated as universal. The practical appeal is a small shared base for this northern Bangkok neighbourhood.
