Fadious : One time life experience
We stayed 5 nights in Phuket and tried two hotels there; first 2 nights we stayed in JW Marriott and then we stayed the last 3 nights in Le Meridien. Our stay in JW Marriott was amazing and we recommend anyone considering this hotel to try it at least once in a life time. Service was excellent, every corner of the resort is unique it was heaven on earth. JW Marriott has only one disadvantage, its location. The hotel is away from patong beach city. Its ok though, you need at least 2 days in the resort to enjoy.
It was very tough for us to leave JW Marriott to La Maridien. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with La Maridien, but after getting used to Marriott’s high standards it was very hard to accept other hotels. On the other hand, La Maridien had excellent location near the city and nice beach there.
Sullivee : Even better than the pictures
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous!! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place! It is removed from the main area of phuket, but for us this was just fine because we were only staying a few nights. But i would say that if you're just going here, you're not really seeing thailand.
The private beach is perfect and the marriot has so many activities and things to do while we were there that we couldn't do them all! a couple things to note. i would make reservations at the restaurants when you arrive because they do book up. the seafood/ steak restaurant is quite expensive. new york prices in phuket. it was all worth it though!! we had such a relaxing few days there and then we were ready to take on the rest that thailand had to offer!!
Louise : first class hotel
This really is a fantastic hotel. The grounds are really well kept and the beach is beautiful. The rooms are spotless and really well furnished, and the service really is first class. As it's quite a big hotel, it's not the place you would go to to hideaway for 2 weeks, but it's perfect for a short stay when you're just winding down. The restaurants are expensive, more western prices than Thai, but this is in line with other 5 star hotels in Thailand .
Berke : Super relaxing
In this hotel we had our best vacation me, my wife, 5 years old son and 18 months old daugther.Everything was just great! The only bad thing was that the kidsclub lost our son, which was very scaring for us. When I asked them how its possible, that they lost him. The staff gave me the answer "But he doesnt speak english!". Funny reason! After we found our son again, the entertainment manager apologized and promised that they are going to change the security system. But after all everthing went well. In the reviews I red here that people complained food prices were too high, well ; why do they go to a 5* Hotel then? What else did they expect.
Sharatan : Heavenly relaxed .. remarkable staff
We just spent 10 nights at the JW Marriott Phuket - what a refreshing and relaxing stay - we enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was outstandingly helpful and friendly. We tried all the restaurants at the ressort and loved the Andaman Grill and the Siam Deli in particular. |
